Finding a snowblower repair shop can be a task in itself. Depending on where you live there may not be a lot of choices available. You want to be able to find someone that you trust, as well as one you can afford. A lot of places will try to sway you to do certain things to your machine, replace your existing machine, or will refuse work because it is a certain style.
Check your local yellow pages to find snowblower repair shops. A lot of places which sell snowblowers offer repairs. But, they may only work on the blowers that they sell. Make sure you have the style and or model number available to give to them over the phone so they know what they are dealing with. If they cannot work on your snowblower, ask if they have any references available to give to you. They may not work on a certain brand of machines, but they may know somebody else that can help you. Do not let them pitch sales to you. If you have called them ahead of time and explained the problem to you, they should not try and sell you a new machine. Let them know that you are not in the market for a new snowblower, and that you are happy with the one you have. If all else fails, take your business elsewhere.

Some repair shops will tell you they cannot get the part in hopes that you will just buy another machine instead of taking yours elsewhere.
